Avni Parekh is a highly driven, skilled public relations and strategic communications professional with a strong background in crisis communications and online reputation management, and has more than a decade of managerial, business development and marketing experience under her belt.

While writing Be the Bigger Person: Scenarios & Solutions to Better Yourself, Avni served as public relations manager at VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care.

Based in their corporate headquarters for six years, Avni developed and executed all aspects of media outreach campaigns to increase exposure and support of local and national company initiatives with a high rate of success. In addition to that, she created and implemented effective systems used to analyze various market trends. Her excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with her problem solving abilities and genuine intention to help others was a perfect complement to effectively managing the company’s online reputation for several years.

Prior to that, Avni served as director of operations at one of South Florida’s premier yoga studios–Prana Yoga. Her strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service enabled her to successfully manage the studio’s day-to-day operations, while helping to steer its rapid financial growth.

A native of Miami, Avni earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Florida International University.
